MORE TIME FOR GLASTONBURY REGISTRATION

With over 1200 registrations an hour yesterday Glastonbury organiser Michael Eavis has asked that the online and postal registration for this year's festival be extended until Monday 5 March at 12 midnight saying that "a period of grace" is appropriate.

The official site has reported 100 registrations online every 5 minutes.

Everyone who wants to buy a ticket on 1 April will need to have registered by Monday 5 March – and provide a photograph of themselves. You can register online at http://glastonbury.q4music.com/ or by post. Postal application forms can be picked up from any branch of Millets, the high street camping store, or you can download a form from http://glastonbury.q4music.com/

Re: MORE TIME FOR GLASTONBURY REGISTRATION

This is ridiculous. People were given an entire month in which to register, with plenty of notification before and during that month. And at last announcement, tens of thousands more people had registered than the number of tickets that will actually be available. This will just decrease the chances of getting a ticket even further. Are the Glastonbury organisers just trying to make themselves look good by having a "record number" of people register, or the like??

Re: MORE TIME FOR GLASTONBURY REGISTRATION

i concur. twenty eight days to register and the lame gets can't get to a computer or millets to register. absolutely crap! when i started going to glastonbury in the 80's it was a real festival. now it's just a big gegg in. it's like sky football!!!

when will glastonbury be bi-annual in this country and the southern hemisphere during winter, imagine how much money the brand will deliver then, plus a whole new revenue stream!!! wow.

Re: MORE TIME FOR GLASTONBURY REGISTRATION

i cant believe more time has been given for registration. a month is enough for any body to get sorted. the tickets are 1st come 1st served so increase the chances next time boyz and girlz at the glastonbury corperate monster.

Re: MORE TIME FOR GLASTONBURY REGISTRATION

So even after all the registration, you still are not guaranteed tickets. Really kills the old days of festival spirit, when at least 30 of us would go, now you sit there on the net phone, wondering if you get a ticket will your mates? and if you do & they don't what then, this year you can't sell your ticket on as its exclusive to you, should you find you are fetsiavling alone, as nobody else managed to get a ticket. I think they should sell tickets 2 weeks before the venue at reputable outlets throughout the country, say HMV , millets, etc and we should queue for them with id, and have to mreproduce that id on the gates when entering the festival. no hassle of internet stress &back to old basics me thinks!
