IGGY AND THE STOOGES FOR GLASTONBURY

Emily Eavis has exclusively told Q that Iggy Pop and the Stooges have been confirmed as a headliner on the Other stage at Glastonbury this year.

Iggy and his fellow Stooges, Ron and Scott Asheton recently reformed and are set to release new album The Weirdness, their first new studio album for 34 years, on March 5th. The band have already confirmed other festival appearances at Benicàssim and SXSW with their reformed line-up - which includes ex-Minutemen bassist Mike Watt - but Glastonbury is the first confirmed UK festival appearance so far.
