All returned and cancelled tickets for Glastonbury 2007 have now sold out. The extra tickets, which were put back on sale at 9am on 22 April, were snapped up by 11.30. Festival organiser Michael Eavis had announced that there would be up to 20,000 tickets on offer, from transactions that had been cancelled after the initial sale on the first of this month.
This year’s arrangements, in which festival-goers were required to register their details before attempting to buy tickets, has been effective in deterring touts from hiking up prices. "We're quite relieved about it and it seems to have been successful,” a spokesman for the festival told the BBC. “We can now look forward to 1 June when the line-up will be announced."
While this was the last opportunity to buy standard weekend tickets, there will be be a further sale of coach and ticket packages online through www.seetickets.com/g2007 on Thursday 26 April at 9.00am, when a final reconciliation of all coach requests and cancellations has been completed.
