 "One of the great festival-closing sets, I think. They headlined on the Sunday night, back when they were less well known than they are now. Some people were a bit surprised that Muse were headlining - I suppose they're a bit noisier than most bands who play Glastonbury.
"But they were fantastic on the night. I dragged a few non-Muse fans to see them with me, and they were blown away, instantly converted. I like to think it was a bit of a turning point for Muse, that performance. But it was also a tragic day for them. Dom (Howard, drummer) found out straight afterwards that his dad had died onsite.
"It's hard to imagine how that must feel, hearing such sad news after experiencing such a high."
