GIVE YOUR UNWANTED TENT TO CHARITY!

Planning on leaving your tent behind at Glastonbury this year? Q4music noted that in some parts of the festival site in 2005, there was enough discarded equipment lying about to open a small branch of Millets (see our snap on the left - nice camping chair, there). At this year’s event, there’ll be an initiative called Give Me Shelter, which will encourage weary travellers who can’t be bothered hawking their kit back to the car to donate it to charity.

Global Hand
is a non-profit organisation set up to enable resources to meet needs across the world. They’ll be asking festival-goers to donate their tents and other camping gear, by taking it to designated areas.

The message is: don't dump it, don't destroy it; donate it!
