Some of the most intriguing, lively and colourful music at Glastonbury takes place on the legendary JazzWorld Stage. To celebrate the diversity and eclecticism of an area that can host both Jamie Cullum and Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Glastonbury, in association with world magazine Songlines, have this week released a 14-track live album of JazzWorld performances from the last ten years.
“This album showcases some of the highlights of the JazzWorld stage over the last eight years,” says Michael Eavis. “It provides a tour of global music that will inspire nostalgia in many of the stage’s fervent supporters. For those who have not visited the stage, this CD provides an insight into the special vibe that makes the JazzWorld stage a consistent highlight of Glastonbury Festival.”
