TV presenter and DJ Lauren Laverne is urging Glastonbury festival goers to get fully equipped for the festival - and do their bit for charity - by getting their hands on Shelter's new festival survival kit.
The housing charity has produced the survival kit to provide intrepid festival fans with everything they need to help keep them dry, clean and safe at Glastonbury. For every kit sold, at least £3 will go to help Shelter's vital work with homeless and badly housed people.
"I've been going to festivals for years and I've finally learnt the basic essentials that you've got to have to make it through the weekend,” says Laverne. “Shelter's new survival kit does the thinking for you - it has all the festival must-haves, including some that you might never have thought of."
The kit contains disposable wellies and a poncho in case of bad weather, as well as wet wipes, disposable toothbrushes and hand sanitiser. There's a wind up torch which won't run out of batteries and a set of earplugs, for blocking out late night festival noise.
Shelter will be campaigning in the Left Field at this summer's Glastonbury festival. Their Festival Survival kit will be available from 1 June at www.summerfestivals
covered.com priced £11.99, plus £3 postage and packaging.
