Glastonbury Festival organisers have decided to sell the final few tickets for this year's event at a number of HMV stores.
Potential festival-goers can buy them over the counter without having to pre-register from 8am on Wednesday, June 11, at seven of the retailer's branches.
Tickets for this year's event - which takes place between June 27 and 29 - have been much slower to sell this year than in the recent past and organisers have decided to make it easier to buy the last few weekend passes. Buyers need only to provide their name when they buy, then make sure they bring photographic ID to the festival when they arrive. This is to ensure they comply with Glastonbury’s anti-touting policy.
The branches which are selling the tickets are:
:: HMV Bristol, 21/23 Broadmead;
:: HMV Glasgow, Argyle Street;
:: HMV Newcastle, 56 Northumberland Street;
:: HMV Manchester, 90 Market Street;
:: HMV Birmingham, 38 High Street;
:: HMV Cardiff, 53 Queens Street;
:: HMV London, 150 Oxford Street.
“With just a couple of weeks to go, we want to make it as easy as possible for people to buy the last few festival tickets,” said Festival organiser Michael Eavis. “We’ve got a fantastic line-up, the most beautiful site in the country and I’d love to see you all there.”
Tickets are limited to six per customer and are subject to a booking fee.
