It used to be green fields round here ...

Take a few sporadic downpours, add 280,000 feet and this is what you get. On Thursday and the early part of Monday this was stilll a delightfully green field, but a day of churning under foot stamped out any sign of lushness - indeed the grass is almost completely covered with sticky mud on Saturday morning.

The good news is (touch wood), that there will only be a few light showers at worst and there have even been sunny spells during the early part of Saturday. Ah, glorious.
